Holy Cross Abbey – Private Booking Waiver

Waiver of Liability:
In being permitted to participate in any activity such as events or classes of any and all types with Canon CV Catering (dba “The Abbey”) or Night Shift Paranormal Events, as a patron paying a fee, I, for myself, my heirs, personal representative or assigns, do hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to hold liable Canon CV Catering (dba “The Abbey”), Night Shift Paranormal Events, their officers, employees, contractors and agents, or their successors heirs, assigns or agents from all claims resulting in personal injury, accidents, or illness (including death) and property loss arising from, but not limited to, participation in these activities.

Assumption of Risk:
Participation in these activities carry with it certain inherent risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken to avoid injury. The specific risks vary from one activity to another and range from: Minor injuries such as scratches, bruises, and sprains: Major injuries such as eye injuries including paralysis and death. As a condition of my participation, I assume the risk of injury or property arising out of such use of these events. Furthermore, I agree to abide by all rules and regulations set forth by Canon CV Catering (dba “The Abbey”)and Night Shift Paranormal Events, which pertain to my personal safety and to that of others who may be with me within undertaking the event at any given time.

I have read the previous paragraph and I know, understand and appreciate these and others risks that are inherent in these activities. I herby assert that my participation is voluntary and that I knowingly assume all such risks.

I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of Canon CV Catering (dba “The Abbey”), Night Shift Paranormal Events and any partnering agencies and assume full responsibility for my participation.

Indemnity Agreement:
I also agree to INDEMNIFY AND HOLD Canon CV Catering (dba “The Abbey”), Night Shift Paranormal Events, their successors and assigns, HARMLESS from all claims, actions, suits, procedures, costs, expenses, damages and liabilities, that may be associated by anyone because of my participation in any activity such as events of all types with Canon CV Catering (dba “The Abbey”), Night Shift Paranormal Events as a guest paying a fee.

I also agree to allow my likeness to be captured via photo or video for promotional purposes.

Rules:
I agree not to engage in the following activities while on the property or immediate removal and further action may follow:

  • Open flames or smoking/vaping inside the buildings.
  • The use of Ouija boards or scrying tools.
  • Any type of spells of rituals to include the “crossing over” of spirits.
  • The use of provocation methods.
  • Property damage, theft, or the harassment of staff.
  • The use of drugs or alcohol, or arriving under the influence of either.
